MEDesign began in 1982 in a spare room at home with one employee, Ian Walkingshaw, and one product, the Backfriend. By a combination of good products, hard work, belief in themselves and their customers (and the occasional bit of good luck) they grew. Today MEDesign is a leading manufacturer of healthcare and patient handling products in Southport, England.
All MEDesign products have the fundamental aim of relieving or preventing back pain. There are no fads, frills or gimmicks; only well designed, well made and honest products.
