MEDesign began in 1982 in a spare room at home with one employee, Ian Walkingshaw, and one product, the Backfriend. By a combination of good products, hard work, belief in themselves and their customers (and the occasional bit of good luck) they grew. Today MEDesign is a leading manufacturer of healthcare and patient handling products in Southport, England.
